If I'm very much mistaken, Man Utd are sitting on the same points total now as they were under Moyes last season but they are down 150 million quid?
Oh, and Moyes had a Champions League to fight too.

They should get better.
Probably help if he doesn't play DiMaria as a back to goal centre forward.
Lots of pressure on Man U and Arsenal as Southampton are looking to steal one of the two remaining Champ League places.
Missing out again would be catastrophic for Man U.

I still think manu will finish top 4 which is LVG's target this term. Then I think they will spend big again in the summer and I reckon the Bale link has got legs in it too. Enoy their demise while you can 'coz it won't last.

11 clean sheet from 21 games for Saints. Koeman says that is important to their success. Quite few 1-0 wins. The 8-0 win has flattered the goal diff. a bit.
We seemed to have lost the clean sheet ability this season. Need it back without losing (too much of) our attacking threat, then we'd be able to push up a place or two or three.

it wasnt just the defence of their lead, their whole team worked their socks off and their midfield, especially the anchors, were superb from start to finish. a very well drilled team.

i think DM will come out of his stint in Spain a much better manager.
as an aside i thought Soton gave a great example of how to defend a 1-0 lead away from home.

Moyes might just be one of those managers that is good at getting more out of average/good players than handling top stars, or possibly the expectation levels got to him. I dont think it helped that with a change of ceo the new bloke seemed to dither on transfers which almost hamstrung moyes a few times when going for targets,

Moyes is a great manager who had Everton punching above their weight season after season without fail.
Man Utd couldn't cope with the pressure on them to perform after red nose left, but Moyes would have righted it soon enough.
Anyone who wrote Moyes off after half a season is THICK.

If van Gaal had started at the same as Moyes did, he'd have done a lot better. You can't compare points tallies between the two.

For the amount of money spent they are in all kinds of trouble arsenal looking at second gear and a couple of clubs fighting for fourth
